Filming Finished For Leaving Star...

EastEnders actress Preeya Kalidas this afternoon confirmed that she has filmed her final scenes with the BBC soap....


In January, it was announced that the 29-year-old intended to step down from her role as Amira Masood after only a year to pursue a singing career.
Since then, it has been rumoured that her departure would revolve around the reveal of her screen husband Syed's (Marc Elliott) gay love affair with Christian Clarke (John Partridge).
At the time, show bosses declined to unveil the circumstances or timing surrounding Amira's exit.

This afternoon, however, Kalidas tweeted: "Just filmed last emotional scenes on EE which will b aired 26 April!!! X (sic)"
Following a flurry of messages from fans, she added: "Thanks for all your messages! Let the next chapter begin!"
An EastEnders insider this evening told Us "The Masoods have loads of dramatic scenes to come over the next few months. Amira's leaving the Square but bosses are keeping tight-lipped over whether Syed's leaving, too. Could this be the end of the road for Syed and Christian? Or will Amira leave alone?"
