(ELECTION 2010 + EASTENDERS)
The historic handover of power on Tuesday evening made for absolutely riveting television across the networks.
The BBC claims that almost 10 million viewers watched its rolling news special on BBC1 as Brown drove off into the sunset and Sam and Dave arrived at Number 10.
But not everyone watching was happy that it disrupted viewing schedules. The BBC reports: “There were 738 complaints from viewers unhappy that EastEnders was dropped, while 83 people complained that Holby City was not broadcast as billed.”
