Stacy: After EastEnders

EastEnders actress Lacey Turner has hinted that she will be searching for challenging roles when she departs the soap later this year. 

Recent reports have suggested that Turner is looking to pursue a career in movies when she says goodbye to Albert Square.

However The Mirror quotes the actress as saying "It would be so exciting to work in films but only if it was an interesting part. I’m an actress first and foremost.

"Celebrity life isn’t important - it’s the challenge of the character and the scripts."

Turner’s screen mother Jean played by Gillian Wright is also leaving EastEnders and the actresses are expected to depart around the same time.
