Stacey: West End Is For Me

Lacey Turner is hoping to carve out a career on the stage after she leaves EastEnders later this year, a report has claimed
.The 22-year-old is said to be taking singing and elocution lessons in a bid to become a success in the West End.

Friends of the actress reportedly believe that she should start out by pursuing the part of My Fair Lady's Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle.

A source told The Sun: "Lacey wants to hit the ground running but not many lead roles would suit because she looks so young. Eliza would be perfect because of the Cockney accent."

Turner announced last month that she is to bow out as Walford's Stacey Branning after five years.

She has since said that she wants to land "interesting" parts and is looking forward to the "challenge" of new scripts.
